Best AI tools for productivity
Writing, meetings, and docs: the everyday stack that is not another general chatbot.
A general chatbot is a feature, not a stack. This ranking is for the tools that attach to how work already moves: campaigns (Jasper), every text box (Grammarly), the company wiki (Notion AI). Copy.ai, Otter, and Pictory are close behind for GTM workflows, meetings, and video.
If your team only needed ChatGPT Plus, we would say so. Many teams do. The tools below are for when the bottleneck is coordination, voice, or capture — not access to a model.
Who this ranking is for. Operators, marketers, and team leads who write, meet, and document for a living. Engineers looking for coding agents are a different ranking we have not shipped yet.

Jasper
8.4/10Best for brand voice
Brand-safe marketing copy at campaign scale.
Jasper is the grown-up cousin of the 2021 copy-AI boom. It still writes ads, emails, and landing pages, but the product that matters now is the brand-voice layer: tone, forbidden phrases, product facts, and campaign briefs that keep a five-person content team from sounding like five different interns.
- Best for
- In-house marketing teams that already have a brand voice and need volume.
- Skip if
- You mainly need research, coding, or one-off drafts — ChatGPT is cheaper.
Grammarly
8.2/10Best everywhere writing layer
The writing layer that follows you into every text box.
Grammarly won by living in the text box. The AI era just gave it more to do: rewrites, tone, and drafts. We rank it as the writing layer for people who will not open a dedicated copy tool.
- Best for
- Anyone who writes in public — support, sales, docs, and execs included.
- Skip if
- You only write in one app that already has a great model.
Notion AI
8.0/10Best AI inside your docs
Writing, summary, and Q&A where your docs already live.
Notion AI is the correct AI to buy when the knowledge is already in Notion. Summaries, first drafts, and workspace Q&A beat exporting everything to ChatGPT if your team will not change tools.
- Best for
- Teams whose source of truth is already Notion.
- Skip if
- You do not use Notion — do not move your company for the chatbot.
How we chose
- Does it beat a generic chat window for a named workflow?
- Will more than one person share a voice, a wiki, or a template?
- Is the job writing, capture, or transformation? We scored specialists higher than suites that do all three poorly.
Honorable mentions
Copy.ai
Second-place writer if your real job is GTM workflows.
Otter.ai
Best affordable meeting notes. Gong if you are a sales org.
Pictory
Best blog-to-video. Not a creative studio.
